After researching all the best zipline adventures near Tucson, I’m ecstatic to share these cool opportunities!
Arizona has some notoriously cool ziplining spots, near Tucson, Sedona, and even over the Grand Canyon! If you’re not afraid of heights and are looking into a fun outdoor activity, consider buying a ticket to one of these three best ziplining courses near Tucson, Arizona:

Now that you’re aware of three of the best ziplining adventures near Tucson (in our opinion), we can dive deeper into what each course entails! Each is fantastic for its unique reasons, so we believe that you’ll have a fantastic time no matter where you decide to go.
This list contains three of the best ziplining adventures. The closest in proximity is going to be Arizona Zipline Adventures, followed by Predator Zip Lines, and ending off with Skyline Ziplining. 1. Arizona Zipline Adventures
Arizona Zipline Adventures is the closest ziplining to Tucson, located at the base of Santa Catalina mountains in Oracle, Arizona. It’s about an hour north, and most definitely worth the drive! They are open Thursday through Sunday and are closed Monday through Wednesday.
Arizona Zipline Adventures is located on the road that takes you up the back side of Mount Lemmon, and the course starts around 5,000 feet in elevation. The summer is their off-season, so if you want to beat the crowds, schedule your zipline early in the morning during the summer months!
Zipline Requirements
The guidelines for this Tucson Zipline are that you need to weigh between 50-250 pounds and arrive thirty minutes before your scheduled time. It’s important that you drink a ton of water beforehand because there is light hiking between ziplines, and the course is in higher elevation.
It’s a good idea to bring sunscreen as the Arizona sun is hot year-round! Long pants and closed-toed shoes are also required. This zipline course is not recommended for those who have had previous surgeries or medical conditions or are pregnant. Visitors are strictly prohibited from being intoxicated during the ziplining experience.
Zipline Information
The five ziplines span from 400 to 1,500 feet in length. The last zipline is the longest and highest, and is a dual line, so you can zip down next to someone of your choosing! Up until a few years ago, the last zipline on this course was the longest in Arizona! The course takes about two hours to complete.
Dylan and I had the opportunity to go to Arizona Zipline Adventures in early September, and were amazed by the beautiful Sonoran desert views from the top! We went during the off-season and only one other person was scheduled for the time slot we booked. The staff was lovely, kind, and extremely friendly!
Other Information
Arizona Zipline Adventures has two zipline packages: the Zipline EcoTour and the Sunset Zipline! Both adventures experience the location’s five ziplining courses, though the Sunset Zipline package happens during sunset (excluding the summer months).
Arizona Zipline Adventures has a giftshop and restaurant on-site. The gift shop has unique Arizona gems, and the Peppersauce Kitchen is known for their delicious burgers! Dylan and I opted in for the “Adventure Burger,” where the chef decides your toppings, and we were both pleasantly surprised with how they tasted! Plus, the fries are to die for!

2. Sky Ziplining Grand Canyon
Arguably one of the most impressionable Ziplines in Arizona is the course that goes over the Grand Canyon! The Grand Canyon Zipline is located in Hualapai Point on the Hualapai Reservation at Grand Canyon West. It’s not associated with Grand Canyon National Park in any way. While we haven’t been to this ziplining course, we can certainly assume that the experience is well-worth the drive.
Zipline Requirements
All zipline riders must weigh between 90 and 275 pounds to ride the zipline. Each person must be able to walk up multiple flights of stairs at two separate locations. All riders must attend the safety briefing, and personal items must be stowed in the free lockers at the office.
Zipline Information
The zipline is 3,200 feet in length and 500 feet above a side canyon floor. This zipline is great for adrenaline junkies, as you can reach up to 40 miles per hour on this ride. You’ll have beautiful canyon views as you speed through the Grand Canyon in a unique zipline experience. Additionally, you have the opportunity to ride this zipline twice before shuttling back to the office!
You’ll begin your zipline adventure at the Hualapai Point office, get your safety briefing, shuttle to the course, climb a few flights of stairs to the Zipline, get attached, and ride it twice! You do need to have a General Admissions Ticket to Grand Canyon West before reserving your Zipline tickets. If you’ve already entered and don’t have a ticket, you can visit the office and check the availability for the day.
Other Information
All sales are final and non-refundable and your ticket is only good for the date you purchased it. In the case of stormy weather, the zipline may close for the day and you would be given a refund or a thirty-day raincheck. All closures based on weather decisions will be made on the day off and not based on the forecast.
With your General Admissions Ticket, you have the option to check out other great attractions at Grand Canyon West! There is a breathtaking Skywalk overlooking the Grand Canyon, Colorado River Rafting tours, Helicopter Tours, and various overlooks to complement your trip. There are also cabins and lodging if you want to extend your trip, and there are a ton of great restaurants on-site as well.

3. Predator Zip Lines
Predator Zip Lines is in Camp Verde, Arizona, past Pheonix and near Sedona! The zipline is part of the Out of Africa Wildlife Park – a wildlife preserve that features African predators. You’ll zipline over a ton of wildlife while seeing beautiful views of Sedona’s red rocks and Humphrey’s Peak in Flagstaff!
Zipline Requirements
All riders must be over the age of eight years old and between the weight of 66 and 270 pounds. It’s advised those who are afraid of heights, pregnant women, and those who have had recent surgeries or have existing medical conditions do not participate. It’s recommended you bring sunscreen and water, and closed-toed shoes are a requirement. No cameras or drones are allowed on the zipline.
Zipline Information
The Predator Zip Line course consists of five different ziplines that spread over a distance of one mile. You’ll zipline from tower to tower as you get great Verde Valley views of Cottonwood, Jerome, and other cities nearby. The first four ziplines are an opportunity to take in wildlife, including lions, tigers, giraffes, bears, cougars, leopards, and more. The last zipline is all about speed, giving you a hit of adrenaline!
Other Information
It is not required to purchase a General Admissions ticket to the Out of Africa Wildlife Park, but if you’d like to explore it after your ziplining experience you can save up to 20% off your ticket. All zipline tours come with all necessary gear, and a guide, and you can purchase photos afterward if you choose to do so.
