Are You Prepared For Your Trip?
Zipline Course & Packages
Arizona Zipline Adventures is a five-line ziplining course in Oracle, Arizona. As you progress through the course, each line becomes faster and longer. The first line is 400 feet long, while the last one is 1,500 feet in length, ranking as one of the longest ziplines in Arizona! The last zipline is a dual line so you can go next to someone, and on this line, you can get up to speeds of 55 miles per hour!
There are two adventure options: the zipline eco-tour, and the sunset zipline. Both options zipline along the same course, the only difference is that the sunset zipline happens at dusk. The sunset zipline is not offered during the summer months. Dylan and I experienced the zipline eco-tour adventure option and loved it, and can only imagine what it would be like during sunset!

What’s Included & What To Expect
Each tour lasts about two hours. Your ticket includes all the necessary gear, water stations on the course, lockers to store belongings, and local zipline tour guides. When Dylan and I went, there were three tour guides with us (one was training), and they were super friendly, and helpful, and made the ziplining experience lighthearted and fun!
The group sizes are usually about eight people or less, but you can reserve larger groups on their website. You’ll also receive discounted pricing if you submit a group inquiry form for nine people or more! Group sizes of ten or more can experience the âMoonlight Zipline Experience,â where youâll go out with headlamps and glowsticks to experience zippinâ the Sonoran desert at night!
Zipline Requirements
Youâll want to bring close-toed shoes because youâll be hiking short distances between ziplines. Sunscreen and sunglasses are a must! Dylan and I went at the earliest time slot at 8 AM, and the sun was still scorching (as it does in the desert). Wear comfortable clothing for the harness, including longer shorts or pants.
Youâll want to arrive at Arizona Zipline Adventures at least thirty minutes before your scheduled zipline tour to get checked in, use the restroom, and store your belongings. Even if the check-in process goes quickly, Iâd recommend showing up early to explore the property grounds and gift shop because the atmosphere is charming!
To participate, you must weigh between 50 and 250 pounds – youâll get weighed during check-in. An adult must accompany minors under fifteen. Reservations are required. Under no circumstance, will Arizona Zipline Adventures allow you to take the tour if intoxicated. It is strongly advised against participating if you are pregnant, or have any neck or back injuries.
Directions & Hours
As mentioned, Arizona Zipline Adventures is located in Oracle, Arizona, on the backside of Mount Lemmon in the Santa Catalina Mountains. From Tucson, take AZ-77 north towards Oracle. Take a right on W American Ave and another right onto E Mount Lemmon Highway. After driving for a few miles, youâll see a sign to turn off to Arizona Zipline Adventures.
Arizona Zipline Adventures is open year-round with their tours operating Thursday through Sunday. The Zipline Eco-Tour typically happens in the mornings or afternoons, and the Sunset Zipline Tour happens a few hours before sunset in the Fall, Spring, and Winter. The store hours vary, though are generally open from 8 AM to 3 PM or 4 PM.
If youâre looking for a place to stay nearby, Arizona Zipline Adventures also has a campground on the east side of their property in a corral, and you can reserve a $15 tent site or a $20 dry RV site. There is a camping inquiry form where you can state youâd like to reserve a campsite! Additionally, you can stay at the historic guest ranch of El Rancho Robles if you prefer to have amenities accessible!

Peppersauce Kitchen
After your ziplining experience, we HIGHLY recommend trying some food from the Peppersauce Kitchen. The eatery features burgers, chicken strips, and other lunchtime specialties for guests to order after a fun day of ziplining. The menu is listed inside the gift shop, and youâll fill out a slip and hand it to the cashier to place your order.
Outside of the gift shop, many seating options are available. Choose between the dark wooded picnic tables that line the deck, lawn chairs outside, or the high-tops to enjoy your food. If youâre feeling experimental, consider ordering their Adventure Burger – the chef decides which toppings to add after you indicate the level of spiciness (or lack thereof) youâre looking for!
Dylan and I both ordered the Adventure Burger and were pleasantly surprised. The real star of the show was the fries! We also enjoyed sipping on cream soda and rootbeer. While we waited for our food, we enjoyed scanning the gift shop for all the local Arizona goodies!
Peppersauce Kitchen also hosts a âGrill Your Own Steak Nightâ! You purchase a steak, chicken, or portobello mushroom and make it to your liking on their outdoor grill! It comes with sides, a dessert, and live music!
FAQs: Best Ziplining Package Near Tucson
Now that we have covered all things Arizona Zipline Adventures letâs talk about some general questions people have about ziplining!
Should you eat before ziplining?
While ziplining isnât exactly a strenuous experience, you should consider having a bite to eat an hour or so before you go. Going through a zipline course typically takes a few hours or so, so itâs best to have something in your stomach so you donât get fatigued or hungry. Bringing a small snack is also a good idea in case you get hungry during the experience!
Is ziplining scarier than a roller coaster?
Itâs hard to compare ziplining to a roller coaster because there are a ton of different types of roller coasters out there. Ziplining is all about height and speed. Youâre in a harness and with properly trained guides itâs extremely safe, but you have more movability than being buckled into a roller coaster. There are far fewer twists, turns, and upside-down moves on a zipline, so itâs a completely different experience.
What time is best for ziplining?
Ziplining is best when the temperatures are comfortable. Aim to zipline when itâs not too chilly, and not too hot. Either extreme can make the experience less enjoyable, so consider ziplining during moderate temperatures. On the flip side, if youâd rather beat the crowds, consider going during the off-season but prepare for the weather extremities beforehand.
How intense is ziplining?
Ziplining is an experience for the adrenaline lovers out there, but in totality, itâs not too intense of an activity unless you are extremely afraid of heights. Youâre generally ziplining in one direction, are strapped in, and are given directions by trained professionals on how to break and land. Typically the ziplining companies will give you a short safety briefing beforehand to tell you everything you need to know.
